Mid May Farm Update

Hello Everyone!

It's Monday 5/19 and brrr....it's a chilly start to the day. What's on the agenda today? Finish seeding cantaloupes and preparing more raised beds to plant more crop. Right now only cold hardy crops can be in the ground. It's a little too early for us to really finish up the majority of the planting and we will be busy everyday over the next month planting.

What do we have in the ground now? Broccoli, cabbage, swiss chard, kale, collards, onions, garlic, lettuce, peas, beets, arugula, radishes, and chinese cabbage.
As soon as the weather warms up we're ready to plant zucchini & summer squash and lots of other good food!

When are we going to start delivering csa shares? That's a good question. If I had to take a guess today I would say the 2nd week in June, but we still need a couple more weeks before confirming that.

If you have signed up for the 2008 csa season you will be receiving you pick up information by email this week.

Keep checking for updates!
